Job Summary:

The Manager of Business Development – Corporate Sales at Eton College will play a critical role in driving revenue growth through the acquisition of corporate clients and partnerships. This position will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with corporate entities, and developing customized solutions to meet their workforce development needs. The Manager will collaborate closely with internal departments and senior management to drive sales, expand market presence, and achieve revenue targets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to target and acquire corporate clients for Eton College’s programs and services.
  2. Identify and engage potential corporate clients through effective lead generation, networking, and relationship-building activities.
  3. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, industry demands, and competitive opportunities.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to customize program offerings and develop tailored proposals and solutions to meet corporate clients’ workforce development needs.
  5. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of agreements with corporate clients, ensuring alignment with the college’s objectives and financial targets.
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, acting as a trusted advisor and point of contact throughout the business relationship.
  7. Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns and promotional activities to generate leads and increase brand visibility in the corporate sector.
  8. Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous business growth.
  9. Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and market trends related to corporate training and workforce development.

Performance Measures:

  1. Achievement of revenue targets through successful acquisition and retention of corporate clients.
  2. Number of new corporate clients acquired and the value of new business generated.
  3. Client satisfaction and feedback, measured through surveys, testimonials, and repeat business.
  4. Effective management of the sales pipeline, including tracking leads, proposals, and conversions.
  5. Collaborative engagement with internal teams to deliver high-quality, customized solutions to corporate clients.
  6. Contribution to the development and execution of marketing campaigns that generate leads and increase brand visibility in the corporate sector.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, corporate sales, or a related field, preferably within the education or corporate training sector.
  3. Proven track record of successfully acquiring and managing corporate clients, exceeding revenue targets, and building long-term client relationships.
  4. Demonstrated experience in developing and executing business development strategies, including lead generation, pipeline management, and contract negotiations.
  5. Strong knowledge of corporate training and workforce development trends, industry regulations, and market dynamics.
  6. Proficiency in CRM systems, sales forecasting, and pipeline management  tools.
  7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights to drive business growth.

Compensation:

  • Salary range: $35,000 – $50,000 CAD annually
